Walliston Riding and Pony Club 2nd April A PCWA Show Jumping Leaderboard, State and Nationals Qualifier Event 2023 Entries via Global Entries Online Close Monday the 27th March 2023 – No entries on the day Draw available Thursday 30th March Enquiries to: [email protected] Unofficial PCWA/Open Classes: Leadline – Poles/30cm Poles/30cm 40cm 50cm PCWA Leaderboard/Open Classes: 60cm 70cm 80cm 90cm 100cm-115cm • $2.50 – PCWA Leaderboard Levy is per rider – all entrants • $2.50 officials’ training levy on every Pony Club WA Junior, Senior and Adult Riding [new for 2022]. • $10 – Ground Fee is per horse – excluding Walliston RPC Members • $30 -Helper Duty bond per horse- Full refund on the day We have a qualified judge & course builder affiliated with EA. Therefore, this event may also be used as National, State and Interschools qualifiers. Please note: riders will need to be Pony Club members. (Please make sure you have your card signed by our judge on the day in between height changes.) PCWA and Open Riders (18 ) only All riders MUST have CURRENT PCWA membership/insurance – Proof of membership/insurance MUST be shown at registration on day. Open riders (18 ) can purchase annual PCWA insurance online from the PCWA website. Age groups will be determined by age as of January 1st, 2023. OFF THE TRACK We are very excited to announce that we have received generous sponsorship from Off The Track. Racing and Wagering Western Australia’s Off the Track WA program is integral in promoting thoroughbreds and standardbreds in their second careers as companion, pleasure or performance horses. OTTWA is proud to sponsor four Best Performed Off the Track Horse placings at each of the Walliston Riding and Pony Club 2023 Show Jumping Day. 2 CONDITIONS OF ENTRY Pre-entries only- no entries on the day • Horse/Rider combinations can only compete in 2 jump rounds over 2 consecutive heights. • Any one rider can only enter a maximum of 2 horses • Classes 65cm and above will be run under the AM7 rules. The judge’s decision is final • Lead line (poles/30cm), 45cm, 50cm, and 55cm classes will be run under the Optimum time rules • Classes will be split into age groups based on PCWA leaderboard age groups. Ribbons will be presented to 6th place Ribbons can be collected from the club room 30 minutes from the time of posting Helper duties • One Helper per horse entered – All riders must provide a helper at the event. If a person is named as a helper for more than one rider, more than one job will be given. • Each rider must nominate a helper over the age of 18yrs. Limited self-help duties available by prior arrangement – contact [email protected] • The Helper Duty Bond is $30.00 per horse and will be refunded in cash at the event once duty is completed. If duty is not completed, no bond will be refunded. • The committee tries to allocate jobs as per your preference, however sometimes it may not be possible. There will be no non-competitive rounds available, so you cannot jump the same height twice on the same horse. Riders must ride in draw order unless previously arranged with the committee. PCAWA Gear Check rules will be enforced-All riders must be gear checked before competing. PCWA gear-checking rules will apply for all classes, and competitors are responsible for being aware of these rules. • PCWA Approved helmets, boots and long sleeves are mandatory for all riders • PCWA riders are to present in formal uniform – Jumper, shirt and tie • Open riders are required to wear jackets, • Weather and judge depending; jackets may be removed only if riders have long sleeves • Body protectors are recommended to be worn. 3 Supplementary information: • No rider under 18 years is to be left on the grounds without a parent/guardian. • Canteen will be available on the day • Gates open 7.30 am • Initial courses will be open for walking at approx. 8.30am for 9.00am start • Courses will be open for walking only after each height change (10min only), not between classes. • Sorry, No Dogs allowed • No Stallions permitted on WRPC grounds. • A limited number of day yards are available on a first in first served basis • Please leave the grounds as found, pick up your horse’s manure and hay and dispose in the provided manure pit at the back of the stables, not around the base of trees! Walliston Riding and Pony Club (WRPC) retains the right to • Cancel or join any class or event • Change the program at any time or reschedule any event • Transfer competitors between sections of or a class • Alter the advertised times • Refuse any entry with or without stating the reason Refunds and scratchings: Entry fees will not be refunded after the closing date of entries unless a medical or veterinary certificate is provided within 7 days of completion of the event minus the administration fee ($10). Withdrawals before the close of entries will be refunded minus the administration fee ($10). Neither the Organising Committee of any event to which these rules apply for the Pony Club Association of Western Australia accepts any liability for any accident, damage, injury or illness to horses, riders, ground, spectators or any other person or property whatsoever.
