Millie is a beautiful 14.3 h, 6 year old mare that has so much to offer. When I got Millie she had only had a couple of rides under saddle but it didn’t take her long before she felt like an old riding school horse who had been ridden for ages.
I have had her now for just over a year and a half and we have done some basic schooling in the paddock but most of our riding has been out on the trails and lots of natural horsemanship when it came to the groundwork.
She does not pace and out on the trails she goes straight into a canter. I have cantered her in the paddock but she does need more work in smaller spaces.
Millie is a great doer, great to tie up, for the farrier, dentist ect. I have had my husband, friends and even my 10 year old nephew on her, and Millie remains the same no matter who is on her back. She has never bucked, reared, bolted or pig rooted under saddle.
The only thing that is stopping this horse from being bombproof right now is her lack of confidence at times. She can still spook at things when ridden and gains her confidence from her rider. I have no doubt with more miles under her and more exposure she would make a great family horse, pony club mount, even has the looks (especially when she looses her winter fluff) for the show ring, or just a good all rounder.
For this reason Millie needs a confident or experienced rider who can keep putting the time into her that she so deserves to bring out her full potential. Will only go to the best of homes.
