Description
Dante is an 11yo, approx. 16.1hh OTTB gelding. He was a competition horse with his previous owner and I bought him as more of an all-round pleasure riding horse, with the goal of eventually getting back into showjumping with him. I genuinely think he has a lot of potential in this area!
He has a really solid foundation and is quite well schooled. He can be a little strong and stubborn at times, so he isn’t necessarily a complete push-button horse, but he is a really fun ride and is generally a very good boy. He genuinely enjoys having a job and I think he would absolutely thrive with someone who wants to put the time into riding and continuing his training.
On the ground he’s good to handle and has good manners. He can be a little pushy sometimes because he has a BIG personality, but he’s very responsive when corrected and knows when he’s being told off.
He’s also:
• Good to float
• Good for the farrier
• No cribbing
• No windsucking
• No fence walking
• Recently vet checked and currently healthy & sound
The only medical issue he’s had while I’ve owned him was some lameness from his feet being over-trimmed by a farrier. He’s fully recovered and is currently sound with front shoes.
Honestly, Dante is just such a sweetheart and an absolute character. He makes me laugh constantly and always has something to say/do. He’s such a fun horse to have around and I genuinely love him so much, which is why finding him the right home is SO important to me.
I’m really looking for someone who is going to love him as much as I do, put the time into him and continue developing him. I absolutely adore this horse and wanted to keep him forever, but with me moving overseas, I unfortunately can’t keep him.
