Description
Extremely hard decision and only for sale as life is taking
me in a different direction and I’m taking a step away from horses.
Oakley is ready to be someone’s best friend. A lovely,
responsive, straightforward ride, he is always looking to please his rider. He
can be a little looky and takes confidence from his rider but you never feel
unsafe when riding him.
He has competed to novice level and schooled elementary
movements, but may need a few refreshers.
Oakley regularly attends competitions and outings and always
gets compliments wherever he goes.
As jumping isn’t my thing, we haven’t done much of this in
recent years but took it all in his stride. At this stage of his life I believe
he would still be perfect for low level SJ, however he can be a little spooky when going XC.
Oakley is fantastic to handle both on the ground and under
saddle. He has fantastic manners and it doesn’t matter whether at home or out
and about. He does not have a nasty bone in his body and genuinely wants to
please his person.
Great to shoe/worm/float/vet etc.
Oakley thrives on consistent work and enjoys having a job to
do. He may be 18 years old but he isn’t looking to slow down any time soon.
Oakley was diagnosed with kissing spine Nov 2024. With
consistent work and plenty of pole work it hasn’t impacted him and the vet has
advised he is happy with his progress and still has plenty of miles left in
him! Happy to share all reports, X-rays etc.
He is the sweetest horse and deserves all the love and
attention in the world and unfortunately I just can’t give him what he deserves
anymore.
